즐거운 노숙(영문)

Believe it or not, stealth overnight in big town is Fun!

I like the twin citie's west metro area very much. Edina, Eden Prairie, Plymouth and Minnetonka...It's ritzy, has great hiking at the lakes, has an YMCA for exercise even hot steam sounas. I found dozens of great places to overnight.

Woodbury in South East St. Paul is upscale too and easy to find parking near the river during the week. No other homeless folks with 100 years old VW campers or red neck van dwellers either.

This is already a third month down here midwest region to us, and are loving it more and more. I spent some time this area with my huge class A motorhome last spring. These days, I drive Mercedes Sprinter based Class B motorhome converted by Winnebago and my wife Jen. tail gating "Titan" by Great West Vans. GWV filed bankrupt recently.

We pactice stealth overnight parking techniques to lessen chances of being bothered by cops, nearby residents, more importantly local criminals. Some of other RV Fulltimers and campervan dwellers from Newzealand and Autralia who has over 10 years experience on roads we met last week say stealth is unnecessary but it eases my mind to do it.

Best to be quite discrete, the residents and cops don't want freeloaders in their neighborhood. But seems friendly otherwise.

Roseville, by the beautiful Como Park, has plenty of places to park next to picnic areas. But it is more of a low income area nearby, so security is something to be aware of. But we had no problems so far and like it there.

It's real handy if you are going to the downtown Metro area for the day. But I wouldn't leave my U-Boat unattended alone in some spots. I park at a paid parking lot when walking across the street. $1 to $6 for the public ramp is worth the peace of mind.

My favorite area of Minneapolis is the Uptown. Some blocks are grungy, I saw some of young funk homeless and druggies even highhill pros once in a while.  But it is mostly a laid back neighborhood with many people living in their vehicles unlocked.

having extraordinarily fun time in the Y pool in Elk River with my lovely better half

No one care you for overnight camping, even if you are driving a filthy old class c toyota motorhome.  Parking can be difficult to find at times ofcourse, especially weekends. Still I find secure spots to park in the streets and can walk everywhere that we want to go.

We have 2 class b motorhomes now looking for trade in one of them to diesel pusher soon.

I love the Minnesota’s “cool" summer! We making many new friends and met old friends one by one. Also meet lots of RV full timer folks on the road.

Our expenses are minimal. No debts. no payments, no utility bills. no fees for RV parks....Just need money for grocery shopping and the gas.

As long as the big winter storm doesn't hit, Midwest reigon is Nirvana to us!
